FYI NETWORKS DIALUP ACCELERATOR SOFTWARE

*******************Readme file for the FYI Networks Web and Email Accelerator*******************

The Accelerator you have chosen is the by far the fastest web and email accelerator available today.
This accelerator uses a small client installed on your PC
along with a number of special servers located on the Internet
to compress, cache and generally speed up your network access.

To install the accelerator, just install the "fyixcel.exe" file.
To install a file, just locate the file where you downloaded it and double click on the file icon.

The first time you run the accelerator, there are some things you should watch for.

Software Publisher "Warning"
-------------------------------
Under high security settings, Windows XP Operating System sometimes presents
a warning plaque when you begin the software installation.
You may ignore this warning plaque and install the software.

Username and Password
--------------------------------
This software requires a username and password in order to establish a proxy connection and work correctly.
The first time you install the software you must reboot your PC.
A window will open during "Startup" and you will be asked to enter your username and password.
It is important that you use your username and password that FYI Networks provided you.
After you have put in your username and password please check the selection
box to "Save" your username and password.

You will require a unique username and password for each PC that runs this software.

If you use Windows Anti-Spyware
--------------------------------
As soon as you download the software, Windows Anti-Spyware will give you a number of
notifications that the software is making some minor changes to your PC.
This is normal and all the requested changes will need to be accepted by you
by clicking either "ok" or "ignore". You will only have to do this once.
Then your Anti-Spyware accepts the accelerator.
Some of the notifications include:
- "A new WinSock LSP has been added" (click ignore)
- "A Startup Program - SlipStream SP requires your approval" (Allow)

If you use Norton Security or Anti Virus software
-------------------------------------------------
1. The first time you try to connect, you will receive a warning from Norton that
"slipcore.exe is attempting to connect to a DNS server"
You must accept this as "click to always allow connections"
Then the accelerator will connect to the Internet.
If you do not allow this connection, the accelerator will not work.

2.The first time you try to connect, you will receive a warning from Norton that
"slipgui.exe is attempting to connect to a DNS server"
You must accept this as "click to always allow connections"
Then the accelerator will connect to the Internet.
If you do not allow this connection, the accelerator will not work.

If you are interested in downloading and purchasing the FYI Xcel Dialup Software

* Safari 1.0 or later

*IMPORTANT NOTE FOR WINDOWS USERS:
After you install the software you will need to change your Dialup username to include @fyi.net.
In your FYI dialer ONLY, Add @fyi.net after your username.
