INSTALLING A MODEM
Click START, Control Panel and double-click Modem. If no modem appears, a
screen asking 'Do you want the computer to detect your modem' appears.
If you have another modem installed and need to add another driver, click
Add' and a screen asking 'Do you want the computer to detect your modem' will
appear. Click next.
Usually, this will detect the modem inside your computer. However if a screen
saying 'Windows didn't find a modem' appears, click 'Next' and choose the
brand and make of your modem from the list. If your modem isn't listed,
select 'Generic' and the speed of your modem. You may have to select a port for
your modem, check your modem documentation for the port that the modem is on.
