OUTLOOK EXPRESS SETUP
Configuration Guide for Outlook Express:
Open Outlook Express. Goto the Tools menu and select Accounts.
Click on the Mail tab, Add and select Mail. This will start the
account setup wizard.
Type your name in the box and click Next.
Type your e-mail address in the box (username@fyi.net) and click Next.
Select POP3 as the type of mail server that you use. For both the incoming and
outgoing mail servers, enter mail.fyi.net as the server name. Click Next.
In this screen, make sure that 'Log on using' is checked and enter your FYI
username and password in the boxes for 'POP account name' and 'password'. Click Next.
Mail.fyi.net is the default name of this connection. Click Next.
Now select 'Connect using my phone line' as your connection method. Click Next.
Select 'Use an existing dialup' and select the FYI dialer that you use to
connect to the Internet. Click Next.
Click Finish to complete the setup wizard.
You should now have an entry that says 'mail.fyi.net'. If there is more than
one entry, click on mail.fyi.net and click the 'set as default' button.
Click "Close'.
To get your email, click the 'Send/Receive' button in 'Outlook Express'.
