Winsome Games is a small, specialist publisher of board games about railroads and trains.
We design, develop and sometimes license these train games to larger firms.
Some of our better known games are:
TransAmerica
TransEuropa
Age of Steam
Railroad Tycoon

We offer a numbered set of our new train games at Spiel in Essen every October.

For years, we have offered 80 numbered sets at Essen in Germany in October. We are doing that again: a set must be reserved in advance and picked up at the Winsome Games stand (Hall 10, Stand 10-66) between 10am and noon on Thursday, October 23, 2008. The cost of a set is 80 EUROS.
All 80 of these numbered sets are ALREADY RESERVED.
Many Americans have expressed a desire to obtain a Winsome Games Essen Set. This year we will try to meet their needs by producing a 2008 US ESSEN SET.
The US Essen Set is unnumbered.
The US Essen Set has only English Language rules, nothing in German.
Aside from these differences, the US Essen Set is largely the same as the traditional Essen Set.
Using the website http://www.xc.com,
80 Euros on July 7, 2008 is $125.25
I am fixing the US ESSEN SET at the US Dollar price of US$120.00
The tireless JC Lawrence has again offered to assist us in Fulfillment.
He accepts Paypal and will ship to Foreign countries!
Much less conveniently, but faster and cheaper, US residents may
order directly from Winsome Games.

JC accepts Paypal!
JC ships anywhere!
JC will have the US Essen Sets in his hands by November 21 and will begin the fulfillment on his own schedule. He also has a day job!
JC's prices are a bit higher, as he has overheads like the BGG commission, shipping from PA to CA, bubble mailers, etc.
JC's prices:
$130+$15s/h to US addresses
$130+$25s/h to Foreign addresses
$130+$5s/h for pickup in the San Jose, California area.

We here at Winsome plan to do a special print run of just the Wabash Cannonball: Erie Railroad expansion in 2009. Please DO NOT feel the need to order the US Essen Set just to get that expansion. We have no plans for a further print run of Preu§ische Ostbahn or Gulf, Mobile & Ohio or the Age of Steam: Texas, Oklahoma & New Mexico expansion.
